& NSCAA Premier Diploma Joe's involvement in youth soccer in Oregon began in 1990 when he and his family moved to the Portland area. Prior to that move, he was involved in coaching youth soccer in New York. He is a member of the Oregon Youth Soccer Association coaching staff and a coach in the Olympic Development Program. Joe was the Girls Varsity Coach at LaSalle High School from 2000 to 2003 and during that time his teams made appearances in three State semi-finals and one State championship game. He was also the Girls Varsity Coach for two seasons at Forest Grove High School. He was a member of the original coaching staff of the Portland Rain, a women's semi-pro team, from 2000 to 2001. He spent two years at Pacific University as the Assistant Coach for both the men's and women's programs. During the 2006 season, he was the Assistant Coach for the women's program at Clackamas Community College. His BU12 Willamette United SC team won the 2010 Oregon State Cup. Joe is one of the founders of Westside Metros and coached for five years at FC Portland. |
