Marcel Mubikayi
Marcel is a USSF National "D" licensed coach and has nine years competitive experience in the United States. Before he moved to the USA he played on High School, College and Semi-Professional soccer teams, respectively in the Congo, Zambia, and Botswana. Marcel also played briefly for a second division team in Portland Maine in 1996 before he moved to Portland Oregon. Upon graduation from the University of Portland in 2003, he started coaching in Tigard where he successfully coached several youth teams for Southside Soccer Club and Tigard High School. He coached a U12, U14, U15, U16 and U17 boys and girls where he twice won two President's Cup. Several times, Marcel has also assisted with the SSC Player Development Program helping prepare kids for competitive soccer. Along with coaching at BSC Portland, Marcel coaches the JV Soccer Team at Riverdale High School. Marcel is married to a passionate soccer fan Aline and has two boys, Darciel and Colonel.
