Who - Kindergarten aged (in the
fall of 2007) children who would like to start playing soccer.
Parents are requested to participate as much as possible. Volunteers
to lead the KICK & CHASE program are needed. Click here to

- 10:00 am; Sept. 15, 2007 through mid October, 2007.
Where - Hamilton Park (next to
Bridlemile School).
Program - While the specifics of
the program are determined by the Kick & Chase head coach(es),
each session is usually an hour in length, divided into two parts.
During the first half, players learn and practice soccer skills
with a family member, using drills set up by the coaches. The
second half is small-sided scrimmages where scores are not kept
and teams vary from week to week.
Why - KICK & CHASE has proven
to be a fun experience for Kindergarten-age children, serving
as an introduction to team sports and exposing them to the basics
of soccer.
What's needed - Soccer balls (size
3) are provided for use during the season and each player receives
a T-shirt and soccer socks to keep. Shin-guards
and water bottles are mandatory and soccer cleats are highly recommended.
Soccer shoe exchanges will be held at Hamilton Park - August 30, 4:30pm to 5:30pm, and September 5, 4:00 to 5:00pm – where you can exchange (free) or buy ($5) used cleats.
